Laboratories

Computer Lab
Siddhartha has the state-of-the-art laboratory in Computer Science. The lab provides high-end systems with all the necessary software. The unlimited internet facility, both broadband and wireless, helps the students work conveniently for all their academic and organizational needs. The computer lab not only caters to the university curriculum but also organizes summer projects, student assignments, seminars, online digital courses, online aptitude & reasoning tests, and student assessment tests. The computer lab facilitates students to practice their computing skills with the support of expert lab assistants.

Chemistry Lab
The laboratory is equipped with instrumentation that facilitates synthesis and qualitative, quantitative analysis of different chemical compounds such as titrimetry, gravimetry, and chromatography. Qualitative analysis involves step-wise procedures used to identify unknown compounds using classical methods, including physical tests, elementary analysis, solubility tests, and procedural details. Identification and characterization of unknown substances constitute a vital part of chemistry. An introduction to this area is provided through qualitative analysis studies.

Physics Lab
The lab serves the needs of B.Sc. Physics students. The laboratory covers experiments related to quantum mechanics, optics, electricity, magnetism, mechanics, waves & oscillations, and electronics. The lab is well-equipped with instruments like sonometers for velocity of sound measurement, Melde’s experiment apparatus, compound pendulums, flywheels, traveling microscopes, spectrometers, telescopes, sodium vapor lamps, mercury lamps, diffraction gratings, prisms, and more for conducting experiments in modern physics and optics.

Electronics Lab
The Department of Electronics maintains a spacious, well-equipped electronics lab. Experiments related to circuit analysis, electronic devices, analog circuits, digital electronics, microprocessors, embedded systems, and communications are performed here. The lab features advanced apparatus like signal generators, DC regulated power supplies with digital displays, digital multimeters, cathode ray oscilloscopes, microprocessor and microcontroller kits with accessories like stepper motors, DAC and ADC converters, analog and digital logic trainer kits with built-in RPS, and pulse generators of different frequencies.
Microbiology Lab
The Microbiology laboratory provides the required infrastructure to promote fundamental research. Students get an opportunity to work with bacteria, fungi, and algae from cultivation to observation. Students have completed projects in medicinal microbiology and microbial biotechnology. They isolate microbes in pure culture and, with the assistance of faculty, identify them using standard microbiological techniques.

English Lab
The development of communication and soft skills plays a pivotal role in enhancing the career prospects of students. The English lab is well-furnished with an ample number of headsets to help students improve their skills through language software. Students are exposed to LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) skills using the latest online courses and language learning tools.
Biotechnology Lab
Biotechnology is an ideal line of study for students interested in the close examination of molecules that carry out vital biological functions such as metabolism, movement, and gene expression. The biotechnology lab is housed in a state-of-the-art, integrated science facility, featuring modern classrooms, teaching laboratories, and ample research space. Students are encouraged to participate in research projects during their academic years, providing a capstone experience essential for their development.
Applied Nutrition Lab
The Applied Nutrition course covers macro and micronutrients, their uses, and their roles in treating deficiency issues. It provides knowledge about food science, adulteration, hygiene, sanitation, preservation, and clinical nutrition planning. It offers practical knowledge in qualitative and quantitative analysis of macronutrients, identification of vitamin C in citrus fruits, calcium in leafy vegetables, and encourages preparation of nutrient-dense recipes. Students also learn about food microbiology and recommended daily dietary allowances for different age groups.
